The latest Willibald series redefines expectations in both biomass preparation and composting processes, achieving results previously considered unattainable. Thanks to the unique shredding systems of the EP series, a wide range of materials can be processed precisely to meet specific requirements. The Sharks have established themselves successfully not only in composting but also in the vital field of biogas substrate treatment within the biomass application. Moreover, the “Willibald Sharks” excel in bark and peat processing, as well as in producing wood chips from leftover and old wood materials (e.g., pallets) for thermal recycling purposes. Selecting the appropriate Shark type ensures optimal shredding results tailored to individual material needs.
In the EP 5500 Shark series, special attention has been given to the extended rubber conveyor belt. The heightened discharge height maximizes space utilization and facilitates direct loading of container vehicles. Incorporating intelligent bend technology, the rubber discharge belt swiftly transitions among three fundamental positions:
- Transport position: Compact total machine length of just 9.98 m
- Maintenance position: Unique access for servicing and maintenance tasks
- Working position
Machine operators and users particularly appreciate the efficiency, easy service accessibility, and compact design of this series. It offers five customized variants:
- Shark V – Version 1 – Finest results: Features a rotor with 48 fine flails and rakes, delivering the finest material results.
- Shark V – Version 2 – Robust and fine: Equipped with a strong rotor with 40 flails and stable rakes, striking a balance between robustness and material fineness.
- Shark V – Version 3 – The all-rounder: Operates with 16 powerful double flails, offering balanced good results across various applications.
- Shark V – Version 4 – The universal one: Utilizes 32 massive single flails, providing extended lifetimes and good results for diverse materials.
- Shark V – Version 5 – Master of biomass processing: Features a rotor with 10 fixed shredder tools and variable interchangeable tip system or blades, ensuring excellent results in biomass processing with an innovative safety concept against contaminants.
